The Philadelphia Veterans Comfort House works in conjunction with the Veterans Affairs Medical Center and other Veterans Service Organizations to provide access to supportive services and resources for homeless veterans while they seek to rebuild their lives. During normal business hours throughout the week, the PVCH is open for veterans to receive clothing, toiletries, food and water (based upon availability), WiFi access, showers and a place of refuge between VA appointments.
We launch Operation Air Drop, bringing food and supplies to vets on the streets, every Monday and Thursday in the fall and winter when supplies allow. On Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas we also offer open houses, so no homeless vet has to spend the holidays alone. Our open house event offer an opportunity to get a hot meal with good company, shower, chance to wash laundry and receive clothing and food from our donation bank.
